International Cuisine

Kagurazaka is an eclectic mix of traditional Japanese sushi restaurants and any number of international cuisines. The vast selection of French restaurants and cafes is a reminder of the large French community living here. It is one of few neighborhoods in Tokyo that is often described as having a "European" feel.

Neighborhood Interior

This webmaster recommends taking a turn in one of the many narrow streets that lead into the main road. Here the adventurous explorer will be rewarded with a quite residential neighborhood that has kept its traditional Japanese architecture. You will also find small mom-and-pop restaurants.

Imperial Moat

The Imperial Palace located in the center of Tokyo is surrounded by an interior moat, but was once also encompassed by the exterior moat that extends to Iidabashi. Now everything outside the interior moat has become urbanized, and the remaining outer moat makes a terrific jogging path.
